Some times they are just extra special...
Every service is just as special as the last and the next one. But sometimes, you have a service that has special elements, where a family has done something just a little bit different. Or a Funeral Director has been asked to do something a little out of the ordinary. Or we have a theme, or an animal join us, a different mode of transport, or even sometimes, someone very special.... So this page is dedicated to our very special pictures. All with permission from the lovely families.
!an's partner, Lisa, and his daughter, Lia, chose to have a service at Townley Memorial Hall before we took him off to the Fulbourn Cemetery for his burial.
With the help of the lovely staff we were able to have a really wonderful and personal service here with family and friends. There were no limits and no constraints. We had lots of music and a slide show, in a relaxed and less formal atmosphere. It was exactly what Lisa and Lia wanted.
Sue and Sarah from Townley Memorial Hall made it all so easy for us all as well! Allowing us to come in and work out how much room we needed. They set up the room for us, and they were really helpful. Sarah helped me out on the day (I couldn't have done it without her) by pressing all the music cues and timing the video for me.
It really was a perfect space for Ian's service.
It's always worth thinking about - having a service in a hall, a community centre, a social club, anywhere that is local to you can be ideal for a service and wont necessarily have a time constraint like a crematorium or a church service would. Always think about access and ask your celebrant and funeral director what they think.

Ian had a very wet day for his service, so we didn't get many photo's. But he had a very lovely reception at the beautiful Fulbourn Lodge. Everyone was able to get warm by the lovely fires with champagne. There were lovely photo's of Ian and the family everywhere. Also the family had a beautiful memory book for everyone to write down their own special memories of Ian too.
